Cornerstone Grace Bible Church (CGBC) is not a denomination nor is it a non-denominational church. It is an assembly of Grace Believers who study to share God's word 'rightly divided' (2 Timothy 2:15).

 

Here is our position on some doctrinal beliefs:

 

Forgiveness of sins was taken care of at the cross. It was paid for, covered by the blood, and taken out of the way. Therefore, it is no longer necessary that we pray for forgiveness, confess our sins, or do works in order to
be accepted in Him (Colossians 2:13-14 & Ephesians 1:6-7).

 

Salvation Today is based on trusting in the declaration which was made in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4; that Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day. Counting on what He did alone, we obtain salvation unless we believed in vain. Those who have trusted this declaration are sealed by the Holy Spirit and are baptized into the body of Christ (I Corinthians 12:13).

 

We believe in the deity (God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost) as 3 in 1. We believe in the virgin birth, blood atonement, and the inspiration of God's Word.

 

As an assembly, we understand the importance of meeting, at least, weekly to be like-minded and of the same faith.

 

1 Timothy 1:16 "Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in ME FIRST Jesus Christ might shew forth ALL longersuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting." In conclusion, we want to be very clear that Paul's epistles, Romans through Philemon, is where we obtain our doctrine for today by which we live (Romans 1:16 & 16:25, Ephesians 3:1-6, I Corinthians 11:1, I Timothy 1:16).
